Choose the tungsten carbide grades according to stands of finishing mills.

Assembly of cemented carbide roll rings

The Insertion and assembly of carbide roll rings shall be strictly carried out according to the designed precision.
There shall be appropriate space between the roll ring and shafts, or roll rings and sleeves, neither tight nor loose.
It is strictly prohibited to hit the roll ring with a hammer or other hard object

 

Requirement for the cooling of roll rings and cooling water in rolling

Water quality requirement:

For PLH series: medium or weak alkali water of PH>7.2

For PLR series: PH<7.2, or weak acid water of PH>7.2

The content of solid particles in the water<15 milligram/L

Determine reasonable rolling yield

The range of normal yield as the following for reference:

Stands of pre-finishing mill: 5000-7000 tons

1-2 Stands of finishing mill: 2000-3000 tons

3-4 Stands of finishing mill: 2000-3000 tons

5-6 Stands of finishing mill: 1500-2500 tons

7-8 Stands of finishing mill: 1500-2500 tons

9-10 Stands of finishing mill: 1200-2000 tons

Stands for reducing mill: 1000-1500 tons.

 

Repair of Groove

In normal condition, the reference repair range is as the following:

Roll rings in stands 9-10 of finishing mill (0.4-0.6mm)

Roll rings in stands 1-8 of finishing mill (0.7-1.2mm)

Roll rings in stands of pre-finishing mill (1.2-2.0mm)
